 | From: For : | Rey Gabriel , 4/19/2007 2:51:03 AM Anyone | | | Q : | good afternoon,
i am a satisfied client(I00134) of yours with regards to your services.
may i suggest further improvement to our online facilities.
currently, whenever we get a realtime quotation for a particular stock, a window displays the three best bid price/volume, the three best ask price/volume, the total volume/value transacted, the open/high/low/last price, previous closing price and the value/percentage change which are all quite informative.
to further enhance our stock qoutation features, kindly put additional window that displays the time, volume, value, buyer & seller (broker's ID only) and match/cross sale indicator for each transaction executed (from opening up to the last transactions). this will give valuable information in realtime who are the sellers/buyers of a particular stock.
thanks and God Bless...
rey | | A : | Dear Mr. Gabriel:
Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We will check with our software provider if these additional features can be accommodated and if so, how much it will cost. We would also like to explore the possibility of having a real-time ticker tape.
Thank you.
Very truly yours,
Lamberto M. Santos, Jr. President | | | | From: For : | Juan Paco , 8/13/2006 11:56:11 PM Mr. Lamberto M. Santos | | | Q : | Greetings, Can your technicians affordably modify the online site to accommodate "odd-lot board" trades. I periodically phone-in these small orders. It would by more efficient if the website could process such trades. Your employees have been helpful since opening this account only six months ago. Good name, quality service and early positioning in online trading, including periodic upgrades in basic services, can help minimize effects of your competition. thanks | | A : | Dear Mr. Worley, Thank you for your continued patronage and suggestions. The program/software for our online trading facility is provided by a third party software provider. The cost quoted by said software provider to develop a program that would allow "odd lot" trading, however, is somewhat prohibitive relative to the estimated benefits that could be derived given the volume of online odd lot transactions. Nonetheless, we very much welcome your observations and recommendations. Rest assured that we continue to explore ways of improving our website and online trading facility and will be announcing some improvements in the near future. Thank you very much. Lamberto M. Santos, Jr. | | | | From: For : | JEFFREY CASTALONE , 2/28/2005 5:29:21 AM Anyone | | | Q : | good evening, I just want you to know that your site is very cool and informative of course compared to other sites offering the same services. I've held Petron shares since IPO days and I haven't tried selling them. I'm contemplating on trying your online service. However, I'm a bit hesitant because I fear that with a mere P50,000 investment, I will have a hard time selling shares when I want to (meaning, my sell orders will always be unmatched/rejected)considering others are trading by the millions. Also, do you offer research exclusive to customers only as provided by other sites?
pls advise,
jeff | | A : | Dear Mr. Castalone:
Thank you for taking time out to visit our website. In connection with your queries, provided hereunder are our responses as follow:
1. The Philippine Stock Exchange system does not operate on a selective basis for both buying or selling transactions as what you perceived it to be (the bigness or smallness of the volume is not the basis for priority). Selling transactions, regardless of size, are done based on the time that you post your order (queuing) and the price that you posted. Therefore, even though your volume is smaller than other market players, provided that you post ahead of them and the price that you have posted matched with the buyers’ price (and there is sufficient buying volume), then your selling order will be done ahead of them.
2. Yes, we offer research materials which are posted in our website.
You mentioned that you have in your custody Petron shares. For your information, the procedure to sell your Petron shares is to have it lodged first with a stockbroker. (Lodgment is the process where your stock certificate is converted into scripless form). There is a minimal fee which is Php110.00 per type of stock plus Php22.00 per certificate.
Thank you.
Ericson C. Wee VP-Compliance | | | | From: For : | JOSEPH MONTANA , 6/17/2004 6:57:43 AM Anyone | | | Q : | HOW MANY TIMES IN A YEAR IS DIVIDENDS GIVEN TO STOCKHOLDERS or INVESTORS? HOW IT IS GIVEN? | | A : | Hi! Joseph. Thank you for taking time out to visit our website. In response to your queries, please be informed that, generally, there are no guarantees as to the frequency an issuer will declare dividends (it will depend on several relevant factors such as profitability, level of retained earnings, etc. of the issuer)
However, there are few exceptions such as:
1. Preferred shares which declare dividends at regular intervals, normally, on a quarterly basis 2. San Miguel Corporation which has been declaring dividends on a quarterly basis.
Thank you.
Very truly yours,

| | | | From: For : | Amado Velasco , 11/5/2003 4:30:52 PM Anyone | | | Q : | I've been watching TFC channels daily and seing a lot of political uncertainty and business fraud, How safe it is investing in the Philippines especially myself residing in the US? Thanks. | | A : | Dear Mr. Velasco, Thank you for your email and interest in investing in this country. I can fully appreciate your concern given all the recent news and developments coming out of the Philippines. As far as the political uncertainties are concern, this is really not an unusual phenomenon given that we are fast approaching a Presidential election in May of next year. With the number of aspirants for president, each group will be exerting all efforts to discredit the current administration and each other. I can assure you that this will not be the end or last of these kinds of incidents or developments. Most stock market investors here have learn to live with this kind of political uncertainty. You will note that despite these "political uncertainties" our stock market has risen more than 166 points or 13% since the July failed mutiny and 405 points or 40% since the close of 2002. Moreover, foreign investors continue to be net investors here. As for your concern about business fraud, I cannot recall any recent business fraud involving a listed company that happened here in the Philippines similar to that or anywhere near the magnitude of what happened to Enron or WorldCom in the U.S. I guess the best thing to do would be to invest in the prime "Blue Chip" stocks here that have a strong track record of professional management and transparency. Needless to say, we cannot give you any guarantees that such incidents will not happen in the Philippines or make a claim that your investments in this country are not exposed to some kind of risk. I guess one must assess the degree of risk he is prepared to take against the returns he wants out of his investment. In other words, the higher the returns/rewards he wants, the higher the risk. I would also like to point out that our media appears to be preoccupied and highlights only the negative things about this country because that's what sells. It seldom, if at all, highlights the good news. Thank you again for taking the time to write to us. Very truly yours, Lamberto M. Santos, Jr President | | | | From: For : | HORACIO III CEBRERO , 3/12/2002 10:23:27 AM Mr. Lamberto M. Santos | | | Q : | Hello again Bert,
Great Web Site. Congratulations! If I may suggest for your group to put up links to various government agencies like the websites of BSP and NEDA. This will provide your clients, especially foreign clients, easy access to much needed economic data and numbers plus relevant BSP circulars that the foreign counterparties would want to be updated with. We have done this with our association at www.aciphils.com
Sorry I had to make an unsolicited suggestion. I guess as a former employee of ABCapital, the company is still close to my heart and would just want the best for it.
Cheers,
Ricky | | A : | Hi Ricky, Great suggestion! I have just discussed this with ASR and we both agree to put these hyperlinks to various government agencies on our web site asap. Thanks again. Regards Bert
